The city of Sarajevo is considered as one of the most important cities in the Balkans and has had a long and rich history ever since it was founded by the Ottomans in the15th century. Thanks to its geographical position, since its origins it has been influenced by a great number of different cultures and civilizations which came together, struggled against one another, but then intermingled and reconciled on the very same land.
It was in Sarajevo where the assasination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, which sparkled World War I took place... And more recently, where the 1984 Winter Olympics were held.
At its heart is the Bascarsija, the old town market sector which is characterized by its many religious structures and examples of unique architecture. Grad Sarajevo se smatra jednim od najvažnijih gradova na Balkanu te ima dugu i bogatu povijest još od 15.stoljeća kad su ga osnovali Turci iz Otomanskog carstva.Zahvaljujući svom zemljopisnom položaju ,od svog osnutka grad je pod utjecajem raznih kultura i civilizacija koje su se ovdje susrele te borile jedne protiv drugih a na kraju se izmiješale i pomirile.
Ovo je mjesto gdje je ubijen nadvojvoda Franz Ferdinand,što je pokrenulo Prvi Svjetski rat a ne tako davno, godine 1984.ovdje su održane Zimske Olimpijske Igre.
U srcu grada se nalazi Bascarsija,stari trgovački dio grada koji je specifičan po mnogobrojnim religioznim građevinama te primjerima izuzetne arhitekture.Nemojte propustiti priliku prošetati se labirintom malih uskih ulica,džamija,restorana te malih radnji gdje spretni obrtnici izrađuju predmete od bronce,kože,zlata i srebra.

La ville de Sarajevo est considérée comme une des villes les plus importantes dans les Balkans, avec une histoire riche depuis tous ses débuts au 15e siècle quand elle était fondée par les Ottomans.
Grâce à sa position géographique, elle a été toujours influencée par des cultures et civilisations différentes qui se rencontraient, se battaient, et qui, enfin, se sont mélangées et réconciliées sur le meme sol.
C’était le lieu d’assassinat de l’Archiduc François Ferdinand ce qui a fait éclater La Grande Guerre. Plus récemment, Sarajevo était la ville d’Olympiade, pour les Jeux d’hiver 1984.
En centre-ville se trouve Bašcaršija, le marché de la Cité, caractérisé par les nombreuses structures religieuses et exemples de l’architecture unique. Ne manquez pas l’occasion de se promener par le labyrinthe des ruelles étroites, mosquées, restaurants et petits magasins où les artisans adroits font des objets en bronze, cuir, or et argent.

Dank der günstigen geographischen Lage entwickelte sich die Stadt unterm Einfluss verschiedener Kulturen, Zivilisationen und Religionen, die hier einander begegneten, gegeneinander kämpften und sich schliesslich miteinander vermischten.
Sarajevo ist die Attentatstätte vom österreichischem Thronfolger Franz Ferdinand, was zum Anlass des Ersten Weltkrieg wurde. Im Jahre 1984 fanden in Sarajevo die Olympischen Winterspiele statt.
Im Herzen der Stadt liegt das alte Handwerkerviertel “Baščaršija”, spezifisch durch zahlreiche religiöse und andere architektonisch interessante Bauten. Der Spaziergang durch die engen Gassen wird Ihnen eine Vielfalt entdecken: Moscheen, Gaststätten sowie typischen Läden, wo Handwerker ihre Erzeugnisse aus Bronze, Leder, Gold und Silber auf traditionelle Weise herstellen.

La citta’ di Sarajevo conserva lunga e ricca storia gia’ dal secolo XV quando fu fondata dai Turchi dell’Impero Ottomano ed e’ considerata una delle citta’ piu’ importanti dei Balcani.
Grazie alla sua posizione geografica sin dall’inizio e’ stata influenzata dalle diverse culture e civilta’, le quali vi s’incontravano, combattevano e in fine si mescolarono dopo aver fatto pace.
La citta’ e’ conosciuta come scenario dell’attentato del 1914 all’arciduca austriaco Franz Ferdinand, e questo avvenimento fece scoppiare la prima guerra mondiale. Nel 1984 qui ha avuto luogo la XIV Olimpiade invernale.
Nel cuore della citta’ e’ situata Bascarsija, l’antico bazar, specifico per i suoi numerosi monumenti religiosi ed esempi di architettura eccezionale.
Non perdete l’occasione di fare una passeggiata per le strette viuzze con moschee, ristoranti e piccoli negozi nei quali gli abili artigiani lavorano oggetti in bronzo, cuoio, oro ed argento.
